Important Historical markers in the development of the Foundation
December the 2nd 2005 is the birthday of the Transcarpathian regional Foundation “Family”. It was founded by Dr Nataly Kolesnyk, Dr Paul Kolesnyk, Zanna Pindyar, with the help of our Dutch partners – family Van Dorp – Oosthoek
During its short existence, the Foundation has became more experienced in many areas; including the important area of fundraising. We are eager to continue and extend our activities, adding new innovations together with the moral and practical assistance from our partners.
We are extremely happy that we have been able to fulfill many of our planned projects and increase the activities of original members of the group.
In November 2007 the founders of the “Family” Paul and Natalie Kolesnyk were invited as guests to the Netherlands where they were able to inform their Dutch colleagues; family doctors and the members of 2 Rotary clubs, about the activities of the Foundation and about future plans, co-operative ventures and new opportunities for fundraising.
We subsequently made contact with the family doctors of Vlaardingam, school “Anchor”, and the church society of the town.
In October 2008 we were happy to invite our partner Dr Mark Rampton from Corvallis (Oregon,USA) to the launching the new laboratory in the family clinic, opened as a consequence of our charitable activity and from the regional investments of the population.
We are extremely grateful for the help of Dr Mark Rampton and for his contribution in the future development of family medicine in Transcarpathia. We appreciate for the gifts: otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, EcG, pulse-oximeter, nebulizer, laboratory materials and medication for the nebulizer. We were honoured to have Dr Mark Rampton present these generous gifts to the clinic.
Every 4 months we have gratefully accepted shipments from Holland with medical materials for our family medicine clinic, together with educational materials for the kindergarten and orphanage.
